…is coming. I think that I am going to make a resolution to post more on this blog.

I went to the early show this past Friday to see Stanley Clarke at Evanston Space. What a great show, albeit short. I hadn’t seen Mr. Clarke before and I’m so glad I finally got to see him play. What an amazing Bassist. He seems to be built to play the bass – it seems so effortless to him. His drummer has that quality as well. It seems like for both those guys the instrument and themselves are just one thing.
The show started off with Mr. Clarke on electric playing Goodbye Pork Pie Hat and School days (the latter, I guess, is obligatory). Really great but for me things were the best when he played double bass. Just amazing.
In some ways, I wish I went to the later show but in one way I don’t. The snow had start to come and it was a bit treacherous on the long drive home. It probably would have been worse coming home later.
If Mr. Clarke returns to Chicago I will make a strong effort to see him again.
Got back from our little trip to San Francisco in the wee small hours of this morning. Man, cab rides from O’Hare to our house out here in the ‘burbs are expensive…
Looking forward to a full 8 hours of sleep tonight.
Wow, I just stumbled onto an old Radio Userland blog that I had from back in 2005. 10 years ago. Back then I was working in the Visual C++ group at Microsoft. Most of my posts on that blog were quite short. Sort of like Twitter before there was Twitter. It was cool to check out some of those old posts. Maybe if I posted more here I’d have that feeling in the future looking back on now…

This fix worked for me: Delete the file c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb and reboot.
It’s been a while since I posted on this blog. Lots of stuff has happened in the last year and some months. We’ve been in our house for more than a year now (our first house) and are liking it so far despite some stuff the builder had to fix and some stuff they have yet to fix. Hopefully that all gets worked out.
Maybe I’ll post more in the near future. You never know…
